Akhmed Abadullovich Kitaev
Akhmed Abadullovich Kitaev (1925-1996) Probably of a central Asian background, the artist does not paint in the somber style of a typical Moscow artist. The artist was born in Mordovia and studied at the Moscow Surikov Institute between 1945 to 1950. Active in Moscow he began seriously exhibiting at the All-Union Art Exhibitions. During the 1950s he specialized in realistic genre scenes of daily life, painted in a vigorous and fluid manner. In the 1960s he began to paint more portraits of an official kind.
